Orthostasis or orthostatic hypotension is a form of hypotension happening when one's blood pressure falls when stanging up or stretching. Among the symptoms that follow are dizziness, headache, blurred vision, hearing problems, euphoria od dysphoria... Excitotoxicity is a pathological process by which nerve cells are damaged and killed by excessive stimulation by neurotransmitters.
The piece was inspired by hard, dizzy, blurred, and not so promising wake-ups.
written for zvučni šnajederaj/klangschneiderei project of cooperation between young serbian and german composers. premiered on 20 march 2013 in belgrade, and on 21 march in novi sad.
