phyllody. quiescence.

for flute, accordion, piano, violoncello, and double bass
performed by pre-art soloists.

Phyllody is a retrograde metamorphosis of the floral organs to the condition of leaves. Parts of the flower metamorph into leafy structures; unable to normally produce flowers, the plant becomes partially of entirely sterile. Phyllodic flowers can appear caused by infections, hormonal imbalance, or gardening.
the piece was written in 2013 for the 7th pre-art competition and was awarded with the third prize.
